This course is intended for experienced electricians and installers who are looking to enhance their current skillset to allow them to install domestic, commercial and \u201con-street\u201d vehicle charging points.<\/p>\n

\u2713 Design considerations for EV charging point installations<\/p>\n
\u2713 Physical installation requirements for EV charging points.<\/p>\n
\u2713 General electrical requirements for EV charging points.<\/p>\n
\u2713 Electrical requirements for EV charging points: dwellings.<\/p>\n
\u2713 Electrical requirements for EV charging points: on-street installations.<\/p>\n
\u2713 Electrical requirements for EV charging points: commercial and industrial installations.<\/p>\n
\u2713 Inspection, testing and maintenance requirements for EV charging points.<\/p>\n
\u2713 Additional requirements for EV charging points.<\/p>\n
Assessment<\/p>\n
Theory Assessments (Online, Multiple Choice)<\/p>\n
The EAL EV Charging test is a 50 Minute multiple-choice, online examination. The exam is open book, meaning that you will be able to refer to the EV Charging book during the exam process. Pass marks set to approximately 60%.<\/p>\n

\nEntry Requirement<\/p>\n
To take this qualification learners must be competent electricians and hold one of the qualifications listed below, with the relevant AM test; (e.g. AM2\/S\/E\/D). <\/p>\n
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
\nLevel 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
\nLevel 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
\nLevel 3 in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
\nLevel 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services – Electrical Installation (Building and Structures)
\nLevel 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification.
\nLevel 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
\nEAL Building Services Engineering (Level 3) – Electrotechnical Installation
\nEquivalent historical qualifications. See EAS Table 4B\/4C, and the EAS Qualifications Guide
\nOr they hold an ECS Gold Card, as a JIB Electrician, or Approved Electrician. <\/p>\n
Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to complete the learning outcomes and assessments.<\/p>\n
