Course Overview<\/p>\n
This distance learning course will teach you how to inspect and test electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671:2018 + A2:2022. The course is designed for electricians and other professionals who need to be able to inspect and test electrical installations safely and effectively.<\/p>\n
The course is delivered through a combination of online learning materials, tutor-led support, and practical assessments. You will be able to study at your own pace and in your own time, and you will have access to a tutor who can provide you with support and guidance throughout the course.<\/p>\n
Course Content<\/p>\n
The course will cover the specific methods of inspecting and testing electrical installations of all types, including single-phase and three-phase, to the latest requirements of BS 7671. It will also cover the inspection and testing techniques as given in IET Guidance Note 3, and how to professionally complete electrical certification and reports.<\/p>\n

\nOnce you pass the online exam, we will provide you with a date for a practical refresher (at an additional cost, if required) followed by a date for a practical assessment.

Theory Assessments (Online, Multiple Choice)<\/p>\n
The test is a 2-hour multiple-choice, online examination. The exam is open book, meaning that you will be able to refer to the 18th Edition wiring regulations, GN-3 and Onsite Guide books during the exam process. Pass marks set to approximately 75%.

\nEntry Requirement<\/p>\n
This course is for experience electrician only as CPD, we recommend that you have a good understanding of the latest IET BS7671 Wiring Regulations and have passed the 18th Edition course. We also recommend that you have a good experience of Installing, Inspecting and testing. It is required to have Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification completed prior to joining this course.<\/p>\n
